I Hello! Welcome back! I can't believe it is April..
Anyways.. Today I am going to give you 5 tips to help turn around a stressful day! It's impossible to avoid stress. Whether its' from deadlines for school or work, trouble with family or friends, and or maybe you are just feeling anxious. Everyone experiences stress form time to time. How you handle is is what makes a difference and your response can impact the trajectory of the rest of your day/week.
1- Find healthy ways to cope.
Try activities that can improve your physical and mental wellbeing, like working out, spending time with loved ones or journaling. Laughter shows to have both emotional and physical benefits, laughing can help defuse negative feelings.
2- Reflect on your day.
Before you go to sleep, think about your day and reflect on what went right. Stop focusing on the negatives. Know that you are trying your absolute best each and everyday and once in awhile you will have a bad day, that is okay!
3- Practice gratitude.
Practicing gratitude can reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. Remind yourself of everything you're thankful for rather focusing on everything that went wrong. I like to write them down or say them out loud.
4- Change your routine.
A change of scenery can help shift your focus onto something else. Rather than preoccupying your mind with the source of your stress, talking a walk, hiking or just putting yourself in a different location can help you think of something else and relax.
5- Focus on self-care.
Knowing how to take care of yourself is vital. Your mental health should be your top priority, so be kind to yourself! Disconnecting from technology and focusing on things that make you happy and give you energy can help you get through a stressful day/week.
